Now I know it’s not that late, but I have been delinquent in writing my 6-month update for LB. (Can you believe she’s that old already?!? Time certainly flies…)
As you all know from the most recent update, LB has been gaining new skills faster than I would have thought possible over the last month. Crawling, pulling up, sitting on her own, eating solids, getting her first tooth – our little girl is doing it all! The pediatrician today said that she was a very strong sitter for her age. 🙂
Her stats from the pediatrician visit today:
Weight: 19 lbs 12 oz (!!!) – 97th percentile
Height: 27 1/4 inches – 92nd percentile
Head Circumference: 17 inches – 70th percentile
The doctor, whom DB and I both really liked, said that the difference in percentile for height/weight and head circumference means that she probably won’t always be huge compared to other kids her age. She also did refer to LB as a sumo baby, but if the shoe fits….
The Littlest Brewster got another 4 vaccines today ((We are not doing an alternate vaccination schedule. Neither DB nor I felt that it was something we felt was necessary nor did we even entertain the idea of not vaccinating. Not trying to start a debate here – these are our views, not necessarily everyone else’s.)) She took them like a champ – only crying for a minute or two before calming down and reverting to her usual happy self. She was actually more interested in the paper on the exam room table than anything else during our visit.
Here she is rocking her Bandaids:
And here is her 6 month photo! Isn’t she so big now? And adorable? ((Because, being completely unbiased as I am, I think she’s the cutest baby girl ever. I’m sure you all agree.))
Look for a post on making our own baby food and one on just how we deal with all of our produce in the next few days!
