The downward trend continues! Granted, it’s slowed down a bit but that’s to be expected.
Here are the down and dirty stats:
This week: 165.6
Weight loss this week: 1.0 lbs
Total weight loss so far: 6.8 lbs!
I will say that I’m a creature of habit and I tend to eat the same breakfast and snacks every day, which makes it a lot easier to track my calorie intake. And it makes it pretty easy to pack my lunch. Carrots and celery sticks? Check. Cheese stick and apple? Double check.
I’m also getting to the point (like I usually do around 3 or 4 weeks in) where I want to say screw it and go out and eat a bunch of crappy unhealthy food until I’m stuffed. And if I do decide to do that or have an extra-indulgent meal, I need to make sure it doesn’t turn into “Well, the day’s shot, so I might as well eat whatever I want all day” day. Which would usually then turn into “Well, the week’s shot, so I might as well go to town for the next 4 days…” So I think what I need to do is focus more on finding satisfying healthy foods rather than just finding foods that fit into my calorie budget for the day.
And, I was having an “I miss my mom and life sucks” day yesterday, so I ate way more at dinner than I originally intended, but I figure those days are a part of life and I’m going to have to learn to deal with them. Hopefully without an extra helping of Bangin’ Good Shrimp and Asian Noodles. Although the extra glass of wine did help….
Anyway. There you have it. My Back On The Wagon update for the week.
I’m toying with the idea of getting either a FitBit One or a Jawbone Up, but I’m still on the fence. Will this just become an expensive gadget gathering dust on my dresser? Will it actually motivate me? If anyone has any experience with either (positive or negative), let me know what you think!
