So Heavy

So heavy

I would write something eloquent or funny or insightful about the myriad responsibilities I feel like I’m carrying right now, but I honestly can’t. They’re so. damn. heavy.

So if I’m missing for a few days or if my back on the wagon is more off than on or if you find me frazzled and scattered, you know why.

Who knew the general, small, and innumerable day-to-day things could be so taxing?

How are all of you managing? I know I’m not the only one with a heavy load right now. If you’ve got a coping strategy that works (besides homebrew – I’ve got that one down 😉 ), please share.

  1. My neighbor told me to take it one day at a time. You and I both have very young babies still! I have resigned myself to doing the minimum needed and anything else can wait till I have a burst of energy or Ellie takes a super great nap. So right now it means keep everyone fed and slept and make sure there is clean underwear for everyone (not necessarily put away yet). 🙂

  2. I try to outsource absolutely everything I can. Right now my biggest time/sanity-saver is online grocery shopping. I use Safeway.com and have groceries delivered once a week. The delivery fee is reasonable and -definitely- worth not taking two young kids to the store.

  3. I don’t have a coping strategy, but I do feel the exact same way! I wake up every morning and get going because I knowing my kids need me. It may not be happy, silly me… but it is me! 🙂
Hugs and and lots of support!
