I’m getting some momentum now, people! This morning saw only a modest movement on the scale (164.0) but even that little bit seriously motivates me to keep going. (Though I do have to admit that part of that may be due to the fact that the DreadBrewer and I couldn’t agree on what to have for dinner last night and thus went to bed without eating anything. Yes, because we’re both that stubborn.)
Lack of dinner aside however, I do feel like I made a seriously decent effort to eat healthfully over the last seven days. I chugged my water. I ate my portion-appropriate, nutritious snacks rather than junk food. I logged my steps. And it worked.
But I’m still not really exercising. And I know I should probably cut out that second glass of wine – not just for the waistline but for my heart as well. And if I see another baby carrot with hummus, I may scream.
So, goals for this week:
- Drink 2L of water day.
- Try to limit myself to one glass of wine that can be had after aforementioned water is consumed.
- Log 10,000 steps a day.
- Try to get to the gym or get some “official” exercise at least twice.
- Track all of my food, even if I go over.
- Find some new, delicious, and healthy snacks so I don’t turn orange from too much beta carotene.
Thanks for sticking with me for the duration! I know it’s slow (and fairly boring) going, but we’ll get there eventually, right?
